How we work with our logistics partners

IHP specialises in getting medicine and health supplies to where they are needed most. We work within the regulated supply chain which ensures that everything we ship is of the highest quality and long dated so patients can get access to the best medicine whenever they need it. We receive only licensed or WHO pre-qualified products, and our work is overseen by the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA) so all product is shipped safely and responsibly.

Our expertise – from storage to shipping

Planning stock movements: donated products are delivered from all over the UK and Europe, we work out the most effective and efficient way to move it to where it’s needed.
Warehousing: products for consolidation are stored depending on requirements,including in ambient-controlled and cold chain environments.
Packing and preparation: products are packaged by our partners with specialist care and attention, including temperature protection measures to maintain integrity.
Transportation: IHP supplies the paperwork to facilitate uninterrupted delivery, working with our pre-approved carriers to ensure efficient transit.

Going the extra mile by land, sea, and air

Whether we’re responding in the wake of a disaster or needing to transport large quantities of medicine to support long-term healthcare projects, we make sure patients are treated. We do whatever it takes to get critical medicine where it’s needed as quickly, responsibly, and safely as possible.

With our logistics partners, we’ve sent 1,549 shipments to 76 countries since 2004.
