IHP CEO responds to the new government

With the election of a new Prime Minister, our CEO, Adele Paterson reflects, on what this means for International Health Partners and the sector.

"As we welcome Prime Minister Keir Starmer into office, International Health Partners are particularly encouraged by the new Government's commitment to working in partnership to address some of the most critical and complex issues today.

The world is facing the highest-ever level of displacement, the devastating effects of climate change and conflicts which are leaving millions with no access to crucial medications and healthcare. There is no time to waste.

We know from COVID-19, that global health crises can only be tackled through a unified approach, which brings all voices to the table - across the pharmaceutical industry, local organisations, civil society and business.

It is only by collaborating that we can tackle the immense challenges we all face in these uncertain times."
